Friends of Amamoor Inc
The Friends of Amamoor Inc is a non-profit community group who proudly cater for the train travellers on the Gympie Rattler, with morning tea of a sausage sizzle, pikelets, jam & cream, biscuits, tea, coffee and various soft drinks, all available at very reasonable prices.
The Gympie Rattler stops at the Amamoor Railways Station each Saturday at 10.30am and again at 2.30pm.
Special Events Catering:
The Friends of Amamoor will also cater for special events such as birthday parties, even on a regular train journey for a small group or by private bookings of the train and these have been very popular, especially for the children.
• Children’s birthday morning tea parties start at $5 per head for school age children, depending on the requirements.
• Adults start from $7 per head, depending on the requirements.
• No alcohol is served.
Amamoor Community Hall Events:
Full Catering can also be done by the Friends of Amamoor for your special events that are held at the Amamoor Community Hall – prices on application in accordance with requirements.

Craft Shop:
While at the Amamoor Railway Station why not visit our Craft Shop, where you can purchase locally made handcrafted goods – ideal for Christmas, special events or just because you like them. Worth a visit to browse or buy.
Open each Saturday from 10.30am to 3pm. Also open for each special train stop at Amamoor and on Wednesdays and/or Sundays during holiday seasons.
