Amamoor Homestead
Majestically poised high atop a hill in the beautiful Mary Valley, Amamoor Homestead B&B and Country Cottages offers four and a half star rural relaxation and rustic charm. The Homestead is located between the village of Amamoor and the township of Kandanga 23 km south of Gympie in the Cooloola Shire.
Research indicates that these names are derived from the local Kabi language and mean, respectively, 'resting place' and 'bend in the creek'. The Homestead nestles on 32 acres and is 'a graceful resting place on the bend in the creek', where the peace and tranquillity are inspired by the gentle breezes, azure blue skies and birdsong.
A friendly and informal atmosphere affords you the opportunity to relax and enjoy the glorious views, abundant bird and wildlife and hearty home-cooked meals.

Our suites
Each room features ensuite, private verandah and entrance, reverse cycle air-conditioner, television and fridge and includes a hearty homestead breakfast, served in the Homestead dining room or on your verandah.
Hide away from the hustle and bustle of the world in the comfort of your own private verandah, cook your own barbecue hamper and enjoy the splendour of evening sunsets and unsurpassed mountain views or, join your hosts for a Sundowner at 5-ish, sit back, relax, and let Carol and Ken prepare a delightful 4 course Homestead meal for you.
Pamper yourself at the end of the day luxuriating in the double spa in the Homestead Spa Room, with complimentary bath salts, bubbles and body oils. Drift off to sleep feeling totally unwound and relaxed, and wake up revitalised and ready for another day in our beautiful Valley.

Our cottages
Our stylish country cottages feature rc aircon, queen size beds, ensuite with spa bath, fully equipped kitchen and a lounge furnished with luxurious rocker recliners, tv, dvd and cd player.
There is a barbecue on your verandah and a fire cauldron for each cottage. Enjoy a cool drink under a starlit sky beside a fire, toasting marshmallows.
There are many and varied activities in the valley, including fishing in our dam, kayaking and bike riding, bush walking and delightful picnic areas for you to enjoy.
Or, you can simply sit back, relax and unwind, enjoying glorious views and the peace and tranquility of the country.
